STATVFS(2) BSD Programmer's Manual STATVFS(2)
statvfs, fstatvfs, - get file system statistics
#include <sys/statvfs.h> int statvfs(const char *path, struct statvfs *buf); int fstatvfs(int fd, struct statvfs *buf);
statvfs() return information about a mounted file system. path is the path name of any file within the mounted file system. buf is a pointer to a statvfs structure. fstatvfs() return the same information about an open file referenced by descriptor fd.
Upon successful completion, a value of 0 is returned. Otherwise, -1 is returned and the global variable errno is set to indicate the error.
statvfs() and fstatvfs() fail for the same reasons statfs() and statvfs() can fail.
The statvfs(), and fstatvfs() functions first appeared in MirOS #10 as a pure user-space implementation.
The actual implementation of the user-space functions was taken from NetBSD libnbcompat. MirOS BSD #10-current May 19, 2007 1
