NAME

     tvtohz - translate time period to timeout delay

     tvtohz(struct timeval *tv);

DESCRIPTION

     The tvtohz() function computes the number of hz in the specified amount
     of time. This is mainly used to translate a timeval into a suitable argu-
     ment for timeout(9).
